LABORATORY CHEMYSTRY OF HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS

Based on the Laboratory of Petroleum Chemistry, V.I.Nikitin Institute of Chemistry, AS RT in 1980 was created the laboratory synthetic chemistry of biologically active substances (SCBAS) under the guidance of Professor Nasyrov I.M.

In 1993 Laboratory SCBAS turned into the Laboratory of Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds (CHC), under the guidance of Prof. Shukurov N.L.

Since 1996 the laboratory of the CHC impose responsibility on Dr. Sc., professor, corresponding member of AS RT Kukaniev M.A.

KHOJIBOEV ULDOSH

Head of the laboratory, Dr.Sc., professor

In the laboratory CHC since its foundation conducting research on the synthesis and search for new biologically active compounds based on sulfur-, nitrogen-and oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds. A series of new heterocyclic systems was first synthesized in this laboratory walls. Laboratory staff of CHC discovered a new reaction of nitrilecontained organic compounds with thiosemicarbazide derivatives with the formation of derivative 1,3,4-thiadiazole.

Within the walls of the CHC laboratory was made 6 doctors and 27 Ph.D.

In the laboratory of chemistry of heterocyclic compounds for several years carried out basic and applied research on synthesis and chemical transformations of sulfur-containing heterocycles (benzo [b] thiophenes, benzo [c] thiophenes, benzoditiepines).

Since 1985, the lab CHC began research into the chemistry of thiadiazole and their condensed analogues according to the plans research institute on the theme: "Developing methods for the synthesis of new bi-and tricyclic sulfur-containing compounds and their hetero, and creation on their basis of highly effective remedies and regulators plant growth” (State Registration # 0030755 from 01.02.1986.) Resolution of SCST of the USSR (# 227 of 05.24.1984) and USSR Council of Ministers decree "On further research addressing the chemistry and technology of new high-pesticides" from 19.07. 1984. # 771. Research program KNTP 0.10.08. "Reagent" # 555 dated 10/30/1985. "Development and implementation of new processes for production of low-tonnage chemical products that provide a significant improvement of technical level of the national economy, determining the scientific and technical progress."

Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Sc. R.Usmanov, Leading Researcher, Ph.D. S.Sh. Safarov and Dr. Sc., professor, corresponding member AS RT M.A. Kukaniev.

Research work on the benzo [b] thiophenyl occupied a special place, and they were in the following areas:

a) Use of new synthetic methods and known methods of modernization construction heterocycles benzo [b] thiophenyl structure.

b) The use of electrophilic substitution reactions in the synthesis of functionally substituted benzo [b] thiophenes of the benzene ring, in particular, chlorination, bromination, nitration, sulfiding, sulphochlorination.

c) Chemical reactions involving the tiophenol ring in positions 1, 2, 3.

d) Selective oxidation methods heteroatom sulfur sulphooxside, sulfone, and methods for their recovery to the initial state.

Laboratory staff also proposed several new methods for the synthesis of 1,3,4 thiadiazole and their condensed analogues. Pioneered by a group reaction for the synthesis of nitrile 1,3,4-thiadiazole gave the possibility of a broad class of new biologically active substances that have valuable physiological properties and are of great theoretical and practical interest. They were first synthesized three new heterocyclic systems:
